Advice for Visitors
Here are a few tips for visitors on their Empire State Building tour:
Convenience
During busy times, you may experience a line outside the main entrance. For comfort and safety, there is a limit to the number of people waiting inside at one time. Once inside, you may be able to skip the regular ticket lines and go directly to the express lift line. Visitors to the observatory can enjoy free WiFi on-site. It is also recommended to visit the top of the Empire State Building for the breathtaking view.
Security
The Empire State Building has implemented security measures to ensure a safe environment for its visitors and staff. The best time to go to Empire State Building is a few hours before sunset.
Openness
The Empire State Building is fully ADA compliant, with accessible bathrooms on the 86th Floor Observatory and lowered viewing walls and optics. Service dogs are allowed throughout the building. Both manual and electric wheelchairs are permitted. The 86th floor has slopes to make getting around easier and lowered viewing walls so that guests in wheelchairs can still take in the view.
